Steven
Born and bred in Edinburgh – I have been a licenced Edinburgh Black taxi driver since 2000.
I’ve had various jobs over the years but nothing compares to the satisfaction I get from being a tour guide.
I love my job and enjoy sharing Edinburgh’s and Scotland’s history & breathtaking scenery to our guests.
It’s always great to meet new people and to see their reactions as I show them the sights and explain the history of the places we visit on our tours.
I’m just as busy outside of work as I am in work, when I’m not behind the wheel of my taxi showing people around Scotland. you will find me travelling and visiting places of interest to broaden my historical knowledge.
My interests include socialising, walking and spending time with family & Friends.
Charlotte
I have over 20 years of experience in the tour and tourism sector, having worked at some of Scotland’s most iconic sites. My deep love of history led me to research 19th-century funeral practices for my dissertation, and I have since written three books (and counting) on Scotland’s graveyards. Through this work, I discovered an even greater passion for uncovering the lives of Scotland’s residents from the past.
If my face looks familiar, it could be because I have one of those recognizable faces, or perhaps you’ve seen me on the award-winning Starz show, *Men in Kilts* with Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish. I tend to get a little too enthusiastic when discussing the long-departed citizens of Scotland, but you don’t earn the title of Death Historian without reason!
I greatly enjoy meeting new people and strive to make their trips memorable, all while showcasing the beauty of Scotland.
Kevan
I’ve been driving Black taxis for around 20 years ,previous to that after leaving school I trained as a motor mechanic.
In the past I have owned my own garage business and I also hold a full HGV license.
Im now a fully qualified tour guide with Edinburgh black cab tours.
I have been with Edinburgh Black Cab Tours for around 2 years and thoroughly enjoy my job.
I love Scotland and really enjoy showing guests around my city and all over Scotland.
My interests are Rugby , Football and Formula 1 Racing.
I also enjoy socialising with friends and spending time with family.
Mark
I have been a licensed black cab driver in Edinburgh for 17 years, and I am also a qualified tour guide. Born and raised in Edinburgh, I have a deep love for the city. However, I’m equally at home in the Highlands, where I regularly go camping, hiking, and mountain climbing. I also enjoy taking photographs during my trips up north.
I love traveling, and whenever I get the chance, I like to visit other countries. One of my favorites is America, where I enjoy going on road trips and am currently working toward visiting every state. I take great pleasure in showing visitors around Scotland, often venturing off the beaten track to embark on adventures and capture beautiful photos.
David
I was born in Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh, where I was raised in the shadows of the Royal Mile. I began my career in finance before earning my taxi license in 2009, and a few years later, I joined the EBCT family.
Growing up in Edinburgh has given me a true appreciation for all that Scotland has to offer. From Highland coos to stunning views, our country has it all, and I love showcasing it to our guests.
As a family man, I enjoy exploring our amazing country with my clan. On my days off, I take my clan to places we’ve never been. I am also an avid football (sorry … soccer) fan and spend some of my spare time following my local team. Additionally, I enjoy meeting up with friends and trying out new restaurants and bars.
